I wanna get better at drawing but where do i start? The anatomy is messed up for sure but... what can i focus on fixing first?

You could push the contrast more in this drawing. Practice color, lighting, and like you said anatomy. It’s great though that you’re going for finished pieces, keep it up

This. The figure is poor, the rendering is flat (in both chroma and value) and plasticky, and the effects look like an afterthought. Your thinking in the right direction, but need to build the fundamentals in order to execute it in an appealing way.

Good lord. Go study fundies before you attempt any personal art or fan art.

Bad advice, he'll just end up like another angry crab on here because if you remove all of the fun from painting you won't want to paint much.

What bothers me the most is a complete lack of volumes. Yes the clothing has folds, but they all appear flat. You have to view everything as 3D objects and represent them in 2D. You need to start with perspective and build basic volumes. Then you shade those shapes.

You're on the path forward, just make sure you're practicing things like posing/lighting/perspective.

It has potential, but it's kind of flat. Work on fundamentals in your spare time.

Gonna hijak this thread now, someone rip me a new one because reddit sure as shit won't.

if you don't find art fundies fun, then you won't find drawing or painting fun. because real creativity involves intelligence. And if you know anything about learning a new thing, you're aware of the rewards it can bring. Ultimatly you should be studying art fundamentals before you draw this shit.
