Taking care of your eyes

My eyes get sore freuquently while drawing on my iPad or using the computer in general. I’m really paranoid that I’m going to go blind when I’m older or just ruin my vision somehow. What are some things I should do to take care of my eyes?

Thank you, that is reassuring. Are eye diseases hereditary or can you cause them through lifestyle? Is eye strain harmful in other ways? Blindness is my biggest fear

turn down the brightness up until the color blocking phase. and then make sure to take regular breaks once you start rendering

its hereditary
i got bad eyes from my dad and so did my sister. i have glaucoma on one eye, so unless i treat it with laser eye surgery or eye drops or other forms of relieving pressure, i will go blind.

There are glasses that block blue light without distorting color. I haven't used them myself but I have heard good things about them

there are people that draw more that all of us (digital or not) and the most problem seem to be the arm/wrist damage
