I happen to see this and I wondered was it a good thing? Is sameface for the sake of culture integrate a good thing or is being diverse with art more interesting and appealing?

depends if you value more the american cartoon style or the sameface appealing anime style.

There's still anime artist who draw unique faces for every female character, but most anime artists are pretty happy with generic sameface.

there's not an easy solution.
Is the four chord pop song bad because is generic and you prefer more complex music?

I miss the old days
I noticed that it'll usually take like 5-10 year when a network changes their art style.
I even notice anime is getting more rounded unlike back in the 90's it was more sharp and spiky.
