Good taste. Sergey is one of my favourites. These are his works for a game that didn't deserve his talent. Quite different from that one. This is more tonal painting. Doesn't use line work, just lays one color shape next to another and the painting appears gradually. It's fun to watch him paint on his streams but not very informative since most of the work is being done in his head.

From what I read he's incredibly difficult to work with, he destroys his work and has drugs/law problems so there's almost nothing finished of his and his books are mostly out of print. There is a collection of drawings and single comic pages of his characters Pim & Francie called Golden Bear Days which I will definitely buy and I think that's it.

Yeah there are some Turner style tutorials on youtube but I find just staring his watercolors are better resource..

He made his own watercolors so they are not really off the shelf type.. but very simple palette will do, something like New Gambouge, Raw Sienna, Yellow Ochre, Cobalt Blue, Ultramarine and Scarlet just does the trick.. it's just warms and cools and some accents here and there. Very loose painting.

Watching the movie Mr. Turner was cool as Timothy Spall just went ballistic on those watercolors and I feel like it's quite true representation of how Turner worked. I mean just pouring the color on the paper and giving the ol' brush a beat. Really loose brush work, and leaving enough paper white here and there to really punch the lights.
