Done art for some years and interacted with all kinds of weirdos.
I think, personally, that it doesn't really make you gay but it enables perversion to a degree that it has the potential to open you up to all kinds of fuckery. Kind of scary honestly.
Benefit of it is that you can build an immunity to all kinds of strange things but you kind of lose yourself in the process.

Also, any male artists I know that engage in art are usually real perverts and most seem sexually confused a lot of the time. Females I don't really know what to make of but it makes them crazier for sure.
Its an interesting field. But its not something I would advise anyone to dive headfirst into.
