Yep that's weird and I see it a lot on Deviantart and the likes. People can color MUCH better than I do but the base drawing is absolute shit. How does one end up like that?
I guess they didn't think their drawings were bad. They thought it was fine to go on and color it, and never developed beyond that. That's probably it.

They've got the right idea, though. A well rendered always attracts normalfags even if it's very fundamentally flawed, look at Sakimichan. People want things that look polished, not something actually good.

"fundamentally flawed" is variable though. In case of Sakimichan, she can render the way she wants, and can show form. The anatomy is the usual fuck up for her as far as I know. The stuff in >>3675408 is way more fundamentally flawed than Sakimichan. The mistakes that Sakimichan makes are acceptable compared to the ones in >>3675408.

definitely have much more wrongs and much more noticeable at that, the coloring in the drawings are also not that great and so we can take a conclusion of this artist's rather low overall competency. Sakimichan on the other hand, renders and colours beautifully, or at least, very nicely. This makes her anatomy mistakes all the more unacceptable considering how good she is at colouring, but at the same time how bad her anatomy understanding is.

Wrong, it makes her anatomy mistakes more acceptable, only someone with good knowledge of anatomy can spot it most of the time, and hiding your mistakes can be just as good a tool as correcting them. Her goal is clearly to draw porn, and do it for a lot of money, where you see failure I see success, because she has done it. If you want to be a complete purist and get everything right (although I do doubt you'll reach sakimichans level in drawing or rendering), you can, but ultimately it doesn't matter.
