Seriously now.. I'm a pro, but I'm sick of being alone. Where do you find chill art buddies to share interests with, but who at the same time are dedicated to improving in art?

it's either begs who are "dedicated" to art for a year and then just become memers, or they are cali pseudo artists who are way up their butt and look down on anyone who hasn't 500k followers on social media. I've always connected with creative people online. Most artists are introverts who barely go out of the house (myself included), that's why you don't meet them often

Follow artists who you really like and if they follow you back why not try to DM them? Ask them where do they find/talk to their art buddies.

I'm not pro in 2d, but am in 3d. What got me there was finding a small chat of dedicated artists (both industry pros and students) focused on feedback and critique.

I've tried to do the same with 2d (because I really do wanna get good, and know I can get there), but so far, I feel like every 2d-related community either doesn't draw (or doesn't have anyone knowledgeable), or simply posts their blogs/drawings without interacting with others or providing any sort of feedback.

I wish there were more people focused on feedback and technicalities in 2d, kinda like /ic/ but less stupid. But a lot of self-taught artists learn by "feel" rather than by studying, so I figure it's not as common.
