What is your opinion on doing art when you're drunk and/or on drugs?

What are your thoughts on sobriety when doing art?

Do you spearment with the doors of perception at all when you're using applying Loomis to drawing anime tiddies?

Anyway I just took some acid.

it sucks 4 me because dead dogs were a recurring motif in my relationship with my dad.

My childhood dog Kane was a rescue that my dad got from his filipino wife's cocaine dealer. He was super well trained by drug dealer standards. Almost got shot by police on 2 different instances. Loved playing fetch. Then one day on my dad's weekend I threw a stick.
It hit the pavement, snapped, and turned to face Kano right as was barreling towards it. Ended up getting impaled deep in the back of his throat. It's such a weird thing to see a dog's full momentum get stopped by a stick.

It was just freak accident where it just PERFECTLY broke into the corner of the pavement and had nowhere to go but Kano's guts.

He ended up dying 6 months later. Had multiple surgeries to remove splinters that were lodged into there and causing infections. Had a giant infected second head on his neck. They stuck a straw in the second head so it could leak goo on me in the back seat on car rides. Eventually he started having seizures probably from the infection spreading to his brain. The last time I saw him alive he was being carried to my mom's car on a plywood stretcher. That was the first time I told my dad I was going to kill him.

I'm thinking loss is the only thing that can make us sad. and loss implies that we loved and cared. So the feeling of loss is just another side of love. So when you have that sinking feeling of loss, it is actually love and caring. I get a lot of strength from that reasoning.

3591043

So yeah tldr: my first dog was my only friend for a lot of my childhood, and I was responsible for a freak accident that didn't just kill him, it killed him over 6 months in a grotesque cronenberg nightmare.

But at least death is sweet release right. Nope! Instead my dad took the dogs body back, put the body in his dog house, and then poured concrete on top.

His bright idea was that we'd take the cement block, put it on the boat, put the boat in water, then give the dog a burial at sea.

Problem A: he didn't account putting down any cement BEFORE putting the dog in.

Problem B: He wanted to use the burial at sea as a means to make amends for the whole "passively watching your dog slowly waste away in front of you and doing nothing for weeks" thing. That took a week before I could be bullied into going along.

So by the time I got over to my dad's house, the dog had been putrifying dead for like 10 days under the weight and pressure of a 300 pounds of cement hardening on top of it.

Problem C: Getting a 300 pound cement block onto a boat on a trailer while your purifying dog is hanging out of the bottom.

So yeah I was there everything was going fine. He had made some steaks and ramen and we had a nice dinner after playing with Beast, the recovery puppy he had already gotten. Now that it was dark and we were full, we moved to the cement tomb thinking everything was great.

We both got on each side, keeping our backs straight, bending at the knees. And lift. And ssphlopght. The -opght part is the sound of your putrifying dog flopping out with an explosion of smell and fluid onto me.

So we went ahead and took a break for me to stop vomiting. After it was made clear it my fault for wearing nice clothes to a funeral, papabear reminded me that all that wasted steak and ramen wasn't getting that putrid bloody cement box any closer to the platform of that boat 2 feet above our heads.

On the third real effort we made good on getting the cement block onto the boat. The trick is that it gets lighter the more you let your dog leak out down your legs and then hands and then BIG LIFT good job OVER HEAD close your mouth though good we got it carefully and there. Oh jeez you got some oh man close your eyes close your eyes stop moving you got some schmutz on your face there Jimbo

Other than the boat and me and my dad were covered in our dog's guts, the actual burial at sea went off without a hitch. It was really great aesthetics (particularly when you don't have to account for the smellz). There were no clouds. The green phosphorescent algae was going nuts. I was told it looked amazing when the cement splashed into the water and like an explosion of light that followed him to the vanishing point. I couldn't see it of course because I was heaving a fucking giant cement box over the side of a boat at midnight on a school night.

There was an attempt of a speech at the time that he clearly had prepared about rebirth and doing better for this new puppy, Sea Beast.

3 years later Sea Beast was lost at sea.

2 coast guard helicopters and 4 boats were redirected for 6 hours looking for him.

What the coast guard didn't know is that Sea Beast hated boats (probably because his maiden voyage involved his new owners bathing in his predecessor's blood). He hated guns. He had almost been lost at sea twice before when my dad would do boat shooting.

My sister and my dad had a falling out over this in Key West. The dog panicked, jumped off the boat, and swam the fuck away. Almost drowned before they got unmoored and recovered him. That was the last trip my sister went on a trip with my dad.

I wasn't there when Beast killed himself to get away from my dad's bullshit but I didn't have any doubt in my mind what had happened when he called to say he had a new puppy.

Bolt didn't die in the plane crash though. That was Uncle Ted's dog.

Since his kids weren't answering his calls anymore, dad recruited his childhood friends Bill and Ted to fly to Norfolk from New York, where the three of them and Ted's dog flew to Key West in some dude's plane. By all accounts they had a great week. They were celebrating that Bill had just had been given a "second life" from a recent spinal surgery after about a decade of disability and immobility (the original injury was caused by a skiing accident he got into on one of my dad's trips I think).

They had a full day boating around, snorkeling, took some video of Ted watering the Manatees, and hit the skies at like 6 pm. Dad popped an adderall and was confident in his decision not to stop for fuel between Key West and Norfolk (1000+ miles in a small plane with 2 big guys, a giant, and a tiny poodle). He sent a picture text at around midnight of him and Bill in the front. The NTSB investigation showed that he flew right into a fucking zero visibility wall of fog, couldn't land at the desired airport, was emergency redirected to land at Norfolk international. He did 3 approaches. Said it was "like a washing machine up here." Notified ground control that they had exhausted all fuel and would be on ground shortly.

He killed them all.

Bronson was ~3 when dad killed Bill and Ted.

i got him when he was 3 months old from some hoarders that were keeping him and his 3 siblings in the same small crate for 10 hours a day. I remember thinking it was like I was saving a dog from my dad at the time even.

Beast had been lost at sea in June. Dad let me know a week later in July that he was now no longer a person I cared about, and I got Bronson a week later.

Getting Bronson was my attempt to prove my dad wrong or something. That I could be provably better than him. That I could nurture goodness and life and love in spite of that malignant cancerous faggot whose own "best friend" decided it was safer to take his chances with the open ocean than to spend another fucking minute dealing with his bullshit.

He was named after the Refn movie, "Bronson," which is about a british gangster that goes by the name of a popular action star. Bronson could do all the movez. I trained him on obstacles and obedience and therapy and everything. I was even talking with some stunt guys about building a stunt dog training program with Bronson as the boss nigga. He was a perfect dog.
