First of all, aim higher, lad.
I'm happy that you called me good, but I still have a long way to go, take a look at some of your favorite artist and try to understand what the fuck they're doing is a good start.

Also basic knowledge of anatomy is really important for this kind of anime style, I supposed. I'm still having some trouble with it too, but I don't think that you'd need to be on Proko level just to draw Anime styled character, just enough to be able to draw a figure without looking at references is fine.
