I'm mad at the thousands upon thousands of hours I spent drawing chinese cartoons only to finally lose interest in it. The reason I got obsessive 3 years back was because it was a form of escape. And I feel like it's the same for a lot of people on here, whether they're trying to escape a lack of social life, or maybe they live in an impoverished area like firez, in the end though, it's all for naught. In the end, it's no better than playing video games and the chances of you making a career out of this is practically zero.

there is no such thing as "drawing anime". Anime is just regular semi-realistic figures with slightly stylized facial features. You can draw literally anything when "drawing anime". So the problem isn't that you drew anime, the problem is that you didn't ever challenge yourself to learn to draw anything other than floating garbage figures like >>3576321
And not even that did you learn to do well. There are plenty of anime artists who are great at gestures, perspective, shape design, landscapes, environments, architecture, mecha etc. They all have valuable skills that can be applied to a variety of industry related jobs.
