i don't sign my art usually unless i actually sell it, then i put it on the back, and i intentionally misspell it as a tribute to hitler or shakespeare

i have so much respect for artists whose work is so distinct that it bears their name all over it, moreso than artists who are just highly technically skilled

yea i can see it- i think i just have a soft spot for those kinds of lanky, angular styles

his personal work gives me a sort of spray-painted cardboard cutout feeling, if that makes sense

Not that I will make any artwork worth a damn, but I will never ever sign my work. I don't want some god damn signature staining my art like a badly placed mole.

>signing their work
>assuming that includes their watermark site address
Some asian artists sign their work, but it's not as irritating to the eyes as western squiggles and plastered watermarks.

>> No.3575992

I sign my art because if somebody likes it when they find it somewhere on the internet, they can find more of it simply with a google search.
I haven't uploaded anything in a while though and the last few times I just lost the habit and forget to sign it
