you'd benefit greatly from a better font and text bubble layout. Ex. "Joy", "Loyalty", "Hope"; try bolding these and increasing the size for each one ("hope" being biggest). Especially in a nightmare sequence, you can play around with how the text narration looks and put some life into it.

I've scrapped this project twice now. Third time's the charm?? I don't regret it though. Each iteration is less cringe than the last. But I'm ready to suck it up and just get it done now, no matter how bad it is.

I suggest you hand draw the speech bubbles while including outlines, gives them more character. And yeah, the font is a bit hard to read. Maybe you can look into making your own font? (I find "hand-written" type always looks better) Anyway, I'm digging your artstyle, good job

Hey, I'm trying to plan out a comic. This is my first time trying to do a comic this large, and I was wondering if you guys had any advice for me. If you have anything to say on how to do panels or speech bubbles or anything, I would love to hear it, I want to learn.

I once again rejiggered my speech bubbles. Mix of shape tools and hand-done, with handwritten text. Going to take a little bit to figure out the size, but I think it looks better.

Also, my gunpowder fantasy is now live on even more sites. Do you look desperate if you are on too many, or do you have nothing to lose but the time it takes to update each platform?

In terms of the top panel - how can I make the action of jumping out a window and shattering the glass look more impactful? At the moment, it just looks like they're jumping out of a hole with some glass fragments in the air for some reason.

I also need some pointers on the bottom panel - general setting is night time amidst a bustling city, and these two characters are evidently jumping out of a window and landing onto another building.
How can I make it clearer that they are jumping onto another building?

Any other pointers are appreciated

Hello goldfishanon,
From what you've posted, I don't see any glaring issues - you seem to have a good grasp on page flow, so keep up what you're doing.

In terms of speech bubbles and such, it would be useful to type/write the dialogue first before drawing the speech bubble around it - it avoids the kerfuffle of drawing the bubble first, and realising it's too big or small for the dialogue you intend to write.
In terms of panel lines, Clip Studio Paint is a fucking godsend in terms of making them - there are specific tools dedicated to organising panels, and you can set it up so that the panels apply a mask, thus avoiding lines leaking out of the panels.
If you don't have CPS already, either buy it like a good citizen or pirate it ASAP.
