Don't worry op, I'll actually play along!
top 5 in order of most favorite, I know they aren't masters but I really enjoy their work non the less

"hell of a story" series. I was trying to remember its name off the top of my head. woops

if anyone else knows of artists like this, where their work is heavily narrative-based with a strong horror focus, feel free to share

Murata and it's not even close. Onepunch Man is supposed to be a manga but I find myself drooling at almost every page for many minutes feeling it would be a waste to not appreciate it long enough, as if I was looking at a portrait or something. He is the guy who inspired me to try to draw, and I really don't think I'm overrating him.

Every chapter he releases contains, at the very least, 5 pages that will make (You) go "This was worth it, I thank the my past self for deciding to pick this up". Proof of that is that I couldn't even decide for which picture to choose to upload here; his anatomy is godlike, originally I was going to upload some martial arts but maybe that's too common. Maybe some cyborg action, he does mecha pretty well. But in the end I decided to choose this godlike monster just trashing a city, I can only imagine how it'd look having this on paper in your hands. Such feelings of greatness, I can really see myself pissing my pants or just dying on those streets.

I'm a jump collector, and it was great seeing the artist of Eyeshield 21 move on past the last series into making something so great as OPM. He really is fantastic and I hope that you go back and check out yusuke's earlier work with eyeshield. It's all really fantastic

Easily Yoshitaka Amano, for his ability to make any work of his have a dream-like quality to it. Cornwall and Mucha are up there as well.
