Digital: cheap, fast, effective, but soulless.

Traditional: time consuming, no undo, one of a kind, a part of your soul is in the drawing, making it a horcrux.

Any real artist worth his weight knows digital is trash tier and traditional is golden.
The virgin digital artists are allmost all design slaves working pleb tier illustration jobs or doing pateron furry porn commissions that may bring them out of malnutrition for the week (if they are lucky). No serious gallery or museum will ever recognize a digital artist (excluding digital physical media i.e projections etc).

The Chad tradition artist actually knows color/theory value and saturation since he doesn't have a computer to compensate for the lack of. His work is actually physical and people will actually take time to admire it vs scrolling through tumblr for a second. Plus the endless pussy he gets after doing nude anatomy commissions.

The traditional one isn’t finished. This comparison is garbage.

i know youre just meme, but trad is dead, expensive aka you need a desk for good ergonomics otherwise you will rape your neck and spine. trad is disgustingly messy and requires management and inventory of everything. not to mention you need an enviroment for it which by the way not every one has for oil painting and you cant say trad if youre not doing oil. preparations are always long and tedious and its a long and stupid process to watch paint dry to put on another layer. also its fucking rancid as fuck

no where did i say that or imply it. it just has disadvantages that digital doesnt. literally the only thing that trad has over digital is texture. literally it. doesnt matter if youre poor and lazy trad is mentally and physically exhausting and not in the good way.

traditional is more fun. theres also a point where you absolutely can not do anything more to a piece lest it collapse under its own weight from the medium youre using.
digital is like a sandbox to experiment and do things you couldnt do traditionally.

whats the timestamp on both of these?
the hands on the traditional one are awful, which makes me think its older, or maybe you traced the hands when doing digital. But the line quality on the digital one is definitely worse. Are both even from the same artist?

basically. scan your sketchbooks to negate how fucking clinical all the digital art usually looks and work from there. but i think that color theory is something one needs to understand in a very analog and physical way.

Traditional. With a pen and pencil I can draw for 10+ hours without the slightest pain, but 10 minutes on a Wacom and my wrist feels like shit. I even upgraded to a large tablet but it didn’t help. Also it only hurts when I’m drawing lines, painting is alright for some reason

>> No.3498629

There is literally no contest when it comes to sketching. Sketching traditionally feels so much better it isn't even funny anymore. But when it comes to painting digital saves so much suffering and pain and money and space that traditional painting just isn't really worth it anymore.
