So I just got """hired""" on a """revshare""" """online project""" as a concept artist. I know people are gonna flake out, I know it's gonna fail and I won't see any money, etc. I'm aware of all that, I don't care. I just want the experience and the discipline to finish something so I can post it online.
The thing is I'd like to keep the art to be able to post it online afterwards for self-promotion. How do I go about that? I don't know anything about copyright or the law.

Just ask whoever owns your art.

shouldn't I sign a contract or something? I don't know anything.

have you signed a contract? if not it's your art man and this project is just amateur shit, they can't legally go after you for anything

>> No.3494910

read your contracts. unless contract specifically states you cannot post or talk about whatever until its released, then you can post it. if there is no contract, then you can post whatever.

You're allowed to post it online at any point if there's no legally bounding contract anon.

Stop worrying, if they give you a contract read over it and if it says something about how it's their property, get permission from them to self promote it on social media. that's literally it.

interdasting.
keep us updated, OP.

>> No.3496259

just dropping by to remind you that you're a literal imbecile for doing revshare OP

you could literally get experience doing the same thing while getting paid

I'm not good or disciplined enough, that's the point. If I could just be a professional I'd do that. I also have 0 social experience, including on the internet.

practicing by yourself is "free labour" too, might as well learn what it's like to work with people and under directions.
