There is some merit to what he is saying even though he is completely ignoring your points.

Most people watch a tutorial/process video almost as an entertainment instead of trying to analyse what and why the artist is doing. When i started I didnt even try to apply the lessons I learned after watching.

If you dont apply some concept you just learned, regardless of how easy you think it is, it will fade from memory. Nothing sticks until you start drawing/painting while applying what you learned from a video.

But what he is also missing is there are principles the artist is considering which you cant understand just by watching them paint. You might learn their techniques but not the principles.

you would think that, but look at every single teacher from kindergarden up to highschool. Even a shit ton of Prof's dont have a fucking clue how to really do the work and just have the answer key. The original saying came out of fields other than art, but still applies well. Most teachers are mediocre at best, because the really good artists are too busy, you know, actually making good art

I agree though, most teachers are mediocre and this is on every field. Unfortunately art has a lot less actual scientifically established material so it becomes more apparent when teachers are incompetent.

all my art instructors in college also did art outside of the classroom, werent famous or making millions but did real art. figure drawing did enormous beautiful portraits, fundies teacher did huge abstract pieces, digital art had a one of a kind themed digital art gallery created a decade before digital exploded.

im blogging and its anecdotal but my instructors knew their shit and were extremely talented

Psychologists/therapists are the most annoying people on earth by far. They don't know fuck all, are usually stupid af and based on pseudo-science, and at the same time think they're the shit and that they're Hannibal Lecter or something.
When I was young my parents forced me to go to a psychologist and I shit you not the fat cunt was a self declared anti-vaxxer. Kept talking about how there's "top of the line research about how children get autism from mercury in the vaccines".

Also, why are all female psychologists fat? I don't think I ever met a female psychologist who wasn't overweight. And on that same subject, why are fat women usually cunts? I don't know a single fat girl who's not a complete unbearable cunt, and my anecdotal sample size is quite large both figuratively and literally speaking.

She wasn't the only psychologist I ever met or the only fat girl I've met, far from that, unfortunately. I did CompSci and the building right next to mine was the Psychology ward, so I've known quite a few psychologists both students and graduated, and they're always full of themselves and full of shit with their pseudo-science.
