no bully plz
I just want to know something like "take it slow", "pay a lot of attention to this section", "apply the knowledge you've learned to this kind of drawing". Anything that'll help me get through it. I am quite intimidated by the size of the class and the size of him >>3452255 to be desu.

Like a year at this point. I know some perspective thanks to Scott Robertson-kun and Peter Han.

Yes! I am eager to learn and will do anything I need to.

I am sure it's helpful even for more illustrative work. I mean it's also a lot about using perspective for composition.

thats the thing, its just an auxiliary, and not even a great one at that. you still have other things that tell a story better. lighting, color, technical ability, style, positive negative space. you dont need perspective for basic shit, and even basic perspective is enough. as long as you know how your horizon line works then you will be fine. learning autistic amounts of perspective like rotation and scaling/mirroring ect in space is undeniably unnecessary

Why are people who identify as artists such brainlets? Perspective is not rocket science, just fucking learn it

>b-but you're an autist for learning the fundamental way of representing 3d objects on a 2d plane

>as long as you know how your horizon line works then you will be fine

That's like saying as long as you know composition, you'll be fine. There's a lot that goes into composition, just like there's a lot that goes into "just knowing your horizon line"

Drawing is the manifestation of reality through the conduit of a human mind. The better you understand reality, the easier it is to manipulate it onto the canvas in any fashion you'd like.

this is true. you can just eyeball everything and have your picture look like it's falling apart at the seams and then call it your style.

What sort of thing do you want to draw OP? I spent two months doing the course, and while it's excellent for ingraining 'perspective-vision' in your mind, it was nonetheless never much use to me. /ic/ pushes the perspective meme a lot but for many artists it just isn't that important. If you do still plan to go ahead with it, just remember that the main thing is to keep extensive notes

>> No.3452942

>>3452269

just do it like any class you've ever taken in school. pay attention to everything. repeat it if you don't understand and take a break everytime you feel overwhelmed by the amount of information.

giving your brain time to process the information is very important.

I used to be really confused about why people would need this. Then I learned that the US army got a minimum requirement of an IQ of 83. That it excludes 1/10 from serving because they are too stupid to effectively learn anything the military have to teach. That's a lot of people!

Thats pretty much down syndrome borderline.

I would imagine you would need at least 100 IQ to serve because otherwise you are just a liability or straight out dangerous to your own people.

Ah. Nice to know where I can just zone out then or cut a bit of the fat of the series. Thanks.
