First I'm no artist, and I've looked trough sticky but didn't find any answer to this.

I want to buy a gift to my gf. She does some type of drawing and uses a this as the only tool:https://www.postofficeshop.co.uk/images/product/extraLarge/2/H6287_1_aL.jpg

I was thinking about buying her a good fountain pen, something nice but good.

She does things like pic-related.

Jetpens has a lot of good stuff, you could get her a nib holder+nibs for inking like here

https://www.jetpens.com/Tachikawa-Comic-Pen-Nib-Holder-Model-40/pd/4573

Just make sure to buy her waterproof ink so if she uses markers or whatever the ink doesn't smear

Oh and don't forget to get a bottle of ink as well.

Not everybody likes the dead line of isographs and the fact you have to hold them perfectly vertical is a pain, at least for me. I only use them for lettering.

>>3452138
First of all, what is your budget? Gifts like these can go from 10$ to hundreds.

From what I've heard that's only rapidographs' problem. My isograph is the same as on the picture I've posted except it's 0.18. Works perfectly fine at acute angle.

It may seem like I have a big hard on for japanese pens, but usually their quality is good and the prices are reasonable. Their nibs are also finer than the American or European brands, but can also be scratchy. I like that, but some people prefer a smoother nib.

Lamys are shit for drawing, their nibs are too thick and they have no flex.

You didn't even name a Sailor, pens like the Young Profit or the Lacoule are excellent and there are artists that actually use them

Sorry for not including Sailor pens in the list?

Can you give some more reccomendations for fountain pens or your personal favorites?

Platinum Carbon Desk Pen. It's got an extra fine nib and is great for sketching

>> No.3452865

By her a set of Copic markers. If she only uses one type of pen, give her the chance to try something expensive, and something she might not have used before.

If I get Her one of these. Should I also get a pencil set? Or a pen set? I'm really lost at sea!

Thanks for all the info btw!

Just get her the mangaka bundle off jetpens plus a pilot penmanship fountain pen and some fountain pen ink bottles.
