Opinions on making free ad paintings for companies, not only to have a strong portfolio but maybe I can get noticed by them?

Like coca cola paintings?

These companies find stuff like that creepy, if they pay for it, they control it, they have a formula for every action they make, you can't just walk up to them and make a casual deal without them having to run it through their administration and laywers for months

It's not the companies that makes the ads you absolute brainlets.

OP: don't listen to these crabs. Yes, it's a good idea. Your portfolio should be a "dress for the job you want" kind of thing.

You could try it for sure.
Probably should try Digital Photobashing and experiment with graphic design to see what kind of results you can get.
Traditional art could work but you would have to make it look really unique in the process.

that was because her princess pictures showed she could design character costumes and had historical knowledge. what will the paintings you produce demonstrate that a company would plausibly want?

you should probably start looking up some designers for the companies you like, then look at their portfolios. then churn out something similar, then contact the company politely. do your homework, the job will not fall on your lap
