Look at how generic her art is and she has 25k followers.....

What bugs me the most is that the foot on this drawing is on the wrong way and this shit is going to be printed on fucking shirts and of course none of her cuck followers would ever bother to correct her. I’m sick of seeing her shitty art on my timeline.

because they focus on their brand and communicating with their audience and things like that, instead of wasting their energy getting upset about strangers having more internet points than them.

There are so many threads asking why generic pinups get so much attention. How do you guys not see the pattern?

...the foot is attached to the wrong leg. JESUS CHRIST get your shit together, woman.

As to OP's question: you can be successful producing a) world-beating, almost transcendentally good work (i.e. Kim Jung-Gi, Ruan Jia, etc) or b) perfectly mediocre work that normies lap up because it's non-threatening to their own capabilities and understanding.

>> No.3394560

>>3394559

I can see how her art would be appealing to normies and that’s fine but holy crap does the blatant wrong-footedness bother the ever living shit out of me. 25k followers and no one is bothering to point it out.

Maybe you should have made a thread dedicated to an artist you want to give more attention to, instead of giving attention to the dyke painter, if you want her to go away?

It's real popular when blond girls are lesbians because brunettes control the media and want them to bow out of reproduction.
Making blonde lesbians popular is a strategy of brunettes to keep down their populations.

This is what it all boils down to though.
This person's art is stiff and simple anatomical mistakes and ugly shading/highlights make it look even worse...but why can't we get our art noticed then?
Obviously (and unsarcastically) we are doing something wrong.

I'll explain it for you all. Tumblr artists (twitter, instagram etc) are people who, like us Crabs, fell in love with art at a young age. We drew whenever we could and copied our favorite anime, comic books and artists. We aspired to be better and dreamed of showcasing what our imagination could do. So, both groups Crabs and Tumblarts, began to really take art seriously when we where teenagers. We studied anatomy, color theory, perspective and so on all to add any bit of skill to our talent.
Here is where both groups differ. The Tumblarts cared more for instant success and fame and so they focused more on copying and drawing characters people could instantly recognize like sonic, Undertale, Disney princess and related characters. People would like the art even if it's not the best. It's the characters they prioritize.
Crabs, however spent more time on learning anatomy and practicing dynamic posing. We want anything we draw to feel and look cool while being correct, we're sticklers like that. So we studied and practiced the fundamentals until our wrists hurt and every part of a human body could be rotated in any direction if we closed our eyes and imagined it. We read whatever offered new techniques for our characters. We prioritized atmosphere and aesthetics in our creations. We want our art to look cool even if no one "gets" it.
So, while we the Crabs were busy studying the craft to later use when we finally opened up our sketchbooks, they were doodling quick and easy mascots AND making money for it.
Little kids don't care that you drew the patella right or that you can't sketch out a beautiful pair of shoulders, they want familiar faces. Tumblarts give them that, Crabs don't.
To make things worse, Tumblarts feel they can give out advice because they made it. "Just draw" "Draw what you like" "Just have fun" "Here's tips for better coloring" "Advice on how to make your art stand out".
I'll Continue just wait-

Ask any /beg/inner Crab for tips?
"Read Looms, don't mind the meme" "Bridgman does great bodies" "Sinnix is a must of you want so and so" "Practice, hell here's some references" "Your art sucks, but here's why"
Don't you see we spend so much time building and yes breaking down our own and each others art so much that we forget our childhood goals of giving the world art that WE think deserves praise? We see Tumblarts and their success and we see how they "made it" but they're so clearly worse than we are. We get bitter and start to question whether we missed some fundamental or tutorial. But no, it's because we are TOO CRITICAL of ourselves. And that is never a bad thing but clearly, it's eating us alive brothers. We turn on each other when we're the problem.
We DON'T want people to adore our art because we can sketch out a good Elsa or some Undertale furry. We want people to like our art because we struggled and studied the body and perspective and color theory. We don't want to be Jazza or DrawwiffWaffles none of that cutesy lazy shit. We want to be Dodson, Edwards, Nothing, Gurney, Colour and any one worth a shit. We want our followers and fans to know this craft and your skills is determined by how much work you put into it. That, when you dedicate yourself to it it rewards you and others with unimaginable worlds and things you didn't know you'd want but are grateful that the Artist suffered for it to be birthed.
Tumblarts are different in that they will never be as good as they should be and never as dedicated and passionate as Crabs are.
So, you can be them by just giving people what they want while never creating a memorable thing ever again.
Or, you can be a Crab, bitter and frustrated wondering if you'll ever make it.
The latter could be fixed if you just make the steps to putting yourself out there. But Tumblarts, will reap all the benefits and fame but stick with mediocrity
Your call

Interesting take. If what you say is true then there are two things Crabs (I like that, is that based on the idea of crabs pulling each other down into a bucket?) can do.
1. Start drawing quick, marketable, normie shit in addition to their passion projects and actual art.
2. Interact with each other. This is harder being as we're on an anonymous image board, but I guess a start would be to follow the people who post in the self-promotion threads and treat them publicly the same way we treat each other in this private board.

>> No.3394994

>>3394934
You aren't any more passionate than those tumblr artists though. You don't put in any more effort into studying the fundamentals either. If we exclude all the highly skilled professionals who post on tumblr, to make things fair, then the skill level of the average tumblr artist and the average artist from /ic/ is pretty much the same.
