WHAT IS THIS?: Structured and focused study thread based off this FZD video so watch that here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLqWX7onVmU to understand what we're gonna be doing.

GOAL:5-6 pages with 10 sketches on each page (each sketch should take 20-30 minutes) by the end of the week. That totals to about 5 hours per page or 25-30 hours per week. Obviously do as much as you can and it's fine if you can't meet the goal but just keep it in mind.

NEXT WEEK: BUGS

HERE ARE SOME BONE REFERENCES

>Pinterest probably has you covered on this one, plenty of shit here. Click on "Animal Skeletons" or "Animal Bones" if you need more

DEADLINE: 4/17/17

No, do it however you want, the thing this whole project was derived from was done digitally.

That said, the vid emphasized drawing and linework over painting, so if you want to stick to the premise of the video you should work on that rather than too much painterly rendering.

Yeah, I usually do not go quite that hardcore with hatching. It also kinda went to a diffrent place from what Feng spoke about, as you say, it should be more about milage. Thank you for the feedback.

>>3383779
The rocks where about 30-60 min. This was the first time I went this crazy with hatching, so The trees took me way to long. The bottom left took me like 4 h, after that I asked my self could I push even more extream with it, and did the right one. That one took me most of The day, like 8 or so hours. I was kinda proud for being able to work on something for so long, but at the same time I could have used The time better.

I know but I mean with the rocks trees skulls etc. Y'all are only doing that cause of feng zhus video. You should draw whatever you want, not wait for some pro to tell you. I think the thing is that subject matter is so vast that it's hard to pick somewhere to get started, especially if you're someone who doesn't know what to focus on. I want to get better, but I don't know which way to go, so I end up walking in circles. Having a sort of structure to follow is great for me.
