But I understand what you're saying. I know money and materialism don't bring happiness. Making art I personally like, the reaction of my clients and fans to it, and getting better at it is what really makes me happy. Well, at least if we speak only about the craft.

Most illustrators are merely copying existing trends. they are basically producing generic, functional artworks without any aspiration for originality. and why would they? it's all laid out for them. the industry wants a certain color palette, a certain style … "do it like this guy!"
