You only have to be able to draw as well as your goal requires. Look at Don hertzfeldt. He makes amazing oscar nominated films but only draws stick people. If your goal does not require high level art then there is no need to waste time pursuing an unworthy, unachievable goal.

I care about quality in my work and the inspiration I can give to others who draw, don't draw, want to draw, or otherwise. The money and fame aren't there goal here and I'm aware that there are others with feelings for different motives so I can't judge them so harshly as you can.

If by making this cartoon, they accomplishmled their personal goal, then I can't fault them. They did it and now it's on to the next one. Life's too short to be so hung up on others not meeting your expectations; focus on your dreams and balance things out.
