Funny you say that, I'm studying Moebius by drawing mastercopies of stuff from his 40 Days in the Desert book. Perhaps it's actually working and the linework is starting to become reminiscent?

from the looks of it you're pressing way too hard on the paper and that inhibits line weight, confidence, stroke, etc. drawing with a nib with no preliminary sketches will help line confidence and teach you to visualize before you draw (literally what moebius did) and will help you have better control over your line weight and stop you from pressing too hard. Besides that it looks that you're doing a good job studying, just don't forget to throw in some classical studies/life studies in there, you don't wanna be stuck with a single style.

It looks like you are new to drawing itself. I would recommend you put most focus on learning the basics of drawing, still lives, drawing from observation, basic forms and perspective, etc.

Just finished this.
I ended up taking it a bit further than I originally intended, but I haven't been doing digital for that long so it's like every time I produce something I'm trying to cram everything I've learned into it as practice. Hopefully I'll mellow out soon and develop a standard colouring formula.

be careful with how much time everything might take to do! if you want to pump pages out and keep it consistent, the painterly style of coloring is going to be harder than cel shading for example.

also maybe think about not drawing the word bubbles but instead making them using shape selection tools? Overall it shows promise after cleanup

I'm kind torn on the speech bubbles, thing. I despise the look of vectorized speech bubbles, but I know they'd be a time-saver.
I'm also still very bad at working with CSPs text tool, and considering lettering the comic by hand, even though that would take so much longer.
I've still got a lot to work out before I'm ready to start posting the actual comic.

The drawing itself looks very flat. It almost feels like you cut it out of something. I'd also suggest again not to shade with black, especially on a colored surface. I'd give the shadow a bit more of an orange tone to it, even just a little bit.

I was talking about the shading on the ground and, you're right. It is brown. When i made my reply, it was on my phone, which has a much duller screen. So, at the time, it didn't look brown and I apologize to the artist.

Like anon (>>3294327) said, perspective. But also you need to make sure all your edges are smoother. The pear you drew has jagged edges, which is why it doesn't feel full. It feels flat. The bottom half looks great actually! But, the top jus feels unfinished. Like there's no depth.

I'm not exactly fully experienced myself, since I don't currently do (and haven't done in years) proper painting. So hopefully another anon can help you out. I'm just not all too great at explaining what I mean. Sorry anon :')

That's pretty good, I think the anatomy of the ribcage is a little off, but can't quite put my finger on it, I think you should try moving the ribcage (bellow the chest) to the left and make it a bit more vertical, or at least try foreshortening the bottom part (I'll post a quick redline).

I like it, but I would work on your line thickness, the lines are kind of lost in the blue color you chose, go a little bit bolder/thicker with your lines. Also try varying your colors more, at least do three tones.

work on hue variation. Your shading is just slightly changed darker values of the same hue. try to change it up a bit to make it more interesting and to suggest realistic lighting (there is always something light reflects off which gives ambient light color)

i took your palette and tried to add some more interesting variation, really just play with things that look cool and look at other artists as ref for good colors.
