Anatomy is WAY too fucking hard.
Is it even possible to draw an absolutely anatomically correct figure?

>> No.3255947

Check most of the fucking art instagram and tumblrs with hundreds of thousands of follows without having 100% perfect anatomy.

The goal of learning anatomy is to fucking learn it because we find beauty in what feels natural. However appeal should a be a goal.

A 100% anatomically correct pose is probably just boring if that's the artists only goal.

there is no such thing as a correct figure. stop drawing pre-designed mannequins, instead study the living figure and capture its imperfections

literally the easiest part of learning to draw

If you study every great piece of art, you'll learn all the artists fudged their anatomy here and there. It's just a matter of if you do it so well no one can tell.

I would argue that beginners and low intermediates should strive for idealized figures for practice, otherwise it's hard to know if the "imperfections" are a result of lack of skill or a deliberate stylistic choice
