I've worked at numerous fairs and this is the type of setup that is used for esoteric furniture fairs, music instrument fairs, kitchen furnishing fairs and the likes.

Tell me OP, where was this "prestigious fine art exhibition"? It reminds me of the typical exhibitions you will find in any small town where a group of housewives has attended painting courses hosted by a failed painter and subsequently decided to exhibit in the town café / hall / library.
