What is "style"? It's not just mark making choices, but calling it how you see things doesn't feel right either.

There are two types of styles, the style of the era/art movement and the individual style of the artist. Baroque is a style, but inside that style you can easily spot a Rubens because Rubens had something that no other artist could replicate, both visually and conceptually. So an individual style is made of several small choices that the artist makes that are highly unique

Do you think that it is inherent? I mean I can do academic drawing, but it still looks like I drew it. Art forgeries are usually found out because the absent minded scribbles don't match the artist and not the overall technique. Even knowing other ways of seeing and doing things, it still comes through the same body and spirit and is identifiable.
