Composition feels unbalanced, that's the first thing that bothers me. The logo is in the geometric center but the whole thing is visually pulling to the upper left quadrant in a unpleasant way. The negative space doesn't feel properly distributed.

Overall the execution looks like it was outsourced to some street shitter off of 99designs for pocket change. The handling of layer styles is incredible amateur and lacks finesse and polish. The blurry typography is downright horrendous. Decent as a first draft buti t's hard to believe it's finished work. I actually like the idea of the guy climbing in the foreground but it lacks the right finish and compositional design to give it that classic poster look.

Legs and torso (and head and left arm) are a composite from different pictures

The main problem imho are not the legs but the whole figure, and how they have twisted the hips to make everything 'fit' and do not have the main character ass in the center of the poster

The head composite and the lightning are enough to be called a bad poster by itself

the anatomy is a given but it's hardly the biggest compostional problem. highest point of contrast is apart from the visual interest of the image and draws the eye to the top of the canvas rather than the rest of the image. tangents all over the place. everything important is compressed to the margins while the center is just noise. shape design itself is overly busy and doesn't really build into anything.
basically this is what you end up with when you give a poster to a /3/fag who knows more about software than how to construct a pleasing image

Dude... Is that the actual poster? It can't be! Google searched and yes, it is. That looks like one of my Photoshop projects from 2005. Let's just put a ton of random paper/metal/light leak textures over a photograph, grab a stock image of a beach for the background and call it a day!

The Ready Player One poster is also a mess. No consistency on the character. It's a mix of airbrushing and bad photobashing. Looks like something you'd send to the art director on day 3 before doing the actual poster.

They should just let Rapoza do all the posters. Or Maciej Kuciara. Or Marek Okon. Or I don't know. Anybody who has any experience in anything.
