The /ic/ Classroom Project consists of studies, drawing sessions, paintovers, critiques, and more! we dedicate a couple hours a week to do collaborative drawing via Hangouts, but like, classes, with a topic and such.
This project consists of teaching others their strengths; be it painting, anatomy, shape design, etc. Anyone can participate. Do you like to learn at your own pace? great! Are you one of those people who lacks motivation and can only work under pressure and needs someone to push you to get shlt done? this is perfect for you too.
If one attends these classes, they must be prepared to face critical discussion and hard lessons; no holding back on critique!

Isn't there a set limit to people who can be in Hangouts at once? I think it's about 8. What will you do if you have more than the limit allows?

I've got some questions, I've been interested in this kind of thing for a while but haven't been able to work out the kinks in it

Just to be clear that we're talking about the same thing:
This is a study group that gathers multiple people together to study a set task as either self-study or group-study with the benefits being:
>deadlines
>being able to discuss stuff more effectively because you're all doing the same thing
>making some sort of competiion out of it


The problems I've faced in doing this kind of thing are:
>the more people you have the higher chance that people aren't interested in studying the set task
>not everyone's at the same level so some tasks may either be above or below their ability making it wasted effort
>It's difficult to determine what a good set task is
>If it's a group-study scenario it's difficult to get everyone all together at the same time, people have jobs, different timezones


Some things to consider that are great for all art groups but especially on that is focussed on improving
>no off topic discussion whatsoever, you can go to other groups for that.
>demand that every user be dedicated to the group, learning is an investment and should be considered second priority to your current job

Hello, sorry i was absent.
You can only have a total of 10 (the host and 9 others) who can interact from within the hangout. An unlimited number of viewers can watch, but they will be limited to interacting by way of comments.

that is some great advice, we only started last monday and we have have faced some challenges, mainly timezone related. I am very dedicated to the project and i'm willing to do anything to make it work
