So I fixed up >>3150828 and made the arm a bit smaller.

The reference gets a bit wonky the more I look at it. The arm is kinda floaty so I gave that arm some slight perspective. Even adjusted the hand position a little

The image showcases hips as well for their legs to be attached. Consistency is important. It doesn't take much effort to look up how someone holds a rifle/shotgun.

What those anons should be trying to say is anyone who looks at that will have the mental tick of "this is wrong, why would the artist do this?" A human would never fire a rifle/shotgun like that, and we make art to appeal to other humans. When you create something contrary to what is expected like that(unless it's for, like, comedic effect, which it clearly isn't) it lowers the "value" of you creation.

OR maybe you think that's an acceptable way to hold a rifle, in which case please stay away from guns, anon. For your own safety <3

You're not wrong. I'm aware the way a shotgun is supposed to be held, I mostly just did it for the sake of creating something more dynamic, even though I know otherwise.

Clearly, that's an issue to a lot of people and has been brought up a few times, so I'll be sure to keep that in mind and correct it in the future. Thanks for the criticism.

Here's the sewing pattern I've got on the table. Measurements are for a snug fit on my head.
Will be purple fleece with backing for stiffness, and I'll likely do stars in various colours of felt on the crown.

I like the mood of this gif, but I think that having a good grasp of light and dark plus having a solid idea of where light comes from and falls would make this look a bit better (shadow on gondola vs shading on mountain & dunes)

I'm using markers, brushlike nibs and fineliners for work so far.
To make up for the crutch of pencils I used, and lack of guidance of bold black only, I've been using light grey marker.
I like the effect of colours over the ghost lines.

If you wanna do anthro type stuff you need a better understanding of how whatever animal you're working actually functions instead of just drawing them at face value. This is taking much longer than I thought it would. Am I going about this right? All I'm doing is zooming in and plotting out where the midtones and shades are going to be before trying to blend them out. I am completely ignorant to color theory or painting but that's just a excuse.

I always seem to end up picking unusual, or rather, less picturesque, lighting schemes, and it's hard to get reference sometimes, because photographers often want everything well lit and clear, while I'm often looking for dimmer or less defined lighting.

I WANT to use layers, but I hate it, it's annoying that I can't "just" erase or change a large part of the drawing with layers; I need to go into every layer and erase it bit by bit.

So I merged this one and i'm mostly working with one layer now.
But at the same time, I want to use layers because it will make it faster to change things if I want to do a comic in the future.
So conflicting.

her right eye inexplicably has more eyeshadow and is at a weird angle. try rotating it clockwise. right eyebrow is mildly bushier. mouth is weird, top lip too flat. Freckles on nose look like she actually drew the freckles with brown eyeliner and wiped her nose. You didn't specify if this is finished or not, but finished pieces that still have some of the sketch visible look weak. Traditional has a bit of an excuse.

This is my first time painting. I'm preparing to start painting in oil soon, but had acrylic on hand so I experimented with that. Glad I'm going to oil soon since the acrylic dried incredibly fast. I know the perspective and all is wonky, didn't sketch before painting like I should have.
