usually only old people have really defined lines along the collar bone and neck intersection, so there's a start. Decide whether you want to shade in black and white or shade in color before you start, it's a bitch to change if your mind does. Try not too much detail focused on one point, it draws focus but also makes the rest of the piece look sloppy in comparison
