oh, kind of. it's worth a cursory look-through for the inspiration threads, high-res images and book threads.

but all of that is outweighed by how genuinely depressing a place it is. it's very rare for me to delve into /ic/ and come out feeling anything but disheartened. this thread is the a good example of why.

i'd rather just paint and strive to do good work, and talk with people who work towards the very same, and be inspired.

Both are shitty and getting popular for mediocrity. Like Sakimichan. People start to parrot them and draw the same, we're getting an army of mediocre clones who learnt from their mediocre "masters". It's sad they're choosing such people to learn from. And no, I'm not butthurt (I got hired by CDPR right after college to draw those silly GWENT cards, but now I'm thinking about freelance, because I hate my boss, fat bald girl), I'm just sad with people's decisions.

Well, the picture on the left is just bad, it has bad anatomy, a lot of mistakes, weird values, it just doesn't look good. The one on the right is pretty nice, though it's not a good example for comparison.
