For those who were having trouble on mobile, it's more likely to work if you try again now. I've added a lot of legacy support. Not everything working though, frontpage boxes are pretty broken on IE mobile and anything older than windows 10 IE11 seems to not be able to upload properly. Gonna try to get it working properly later.

Who even uses IE in this day and age..

I-I'm still here, my streak on the other hand...I guess I now know how the non-W1's felt all this time. Oh well, I'm happy that we have a working elimination system now though I fear it might be too little too late since the community is all but dead. Before we used to shame whoever got eliminated or ask them what happened/give words of encouragement and what not. I'm hoping something like that starts up again once people begin to get eliminated although I'm not exactly hopeful.

If by collab you mean the challenges, yeah I will add an equivalent system. Comics specifically, no plans on it. The challenge system should serve the same purpose if someone makes a monthly comic challenge.

The plans for implementation of challenges:

Users can create challenges, as they did in LAS, and then pick the completion criteria as either X amount of submissions, or submit to the challenge for X amount of days. There won't be any "opt-in", the challenges will simply be open from its creation to a set end date given by creator, and anyone can link their submissions to active challenges when submitting. An example would be a challenge open for 10 days, where you have to submit 4 submissions, either locked to submitting on different days or whenever.

When the amount of submissions is more than 1, challenge creator will have the option to label the required submissions. For example a facial expressions challenge, where the submissions needed are "anger", "sadness", etc.. Just to have a way to group submissions within a challenge that has multiple submissions required. Also an easy way to see what you've done already in a challenge that goes over a longer period of time, as a checklist.

The creator will also have the option to award a badge once you complete the challenge, which they will upload themselves. These will be shown on your profile.

God, today's life drawing session was a disaster.

How does one effectively move quickly through a, say, twenty to forty minute pose? I find myself struggling to get basic structure with valid proportions let alone being able to render the goddamn thing?

It could just be something that I just need to do more often and naturally, I'll get faster, and if that's the case, hey, fine. I just want to know that it is that way.

It's probably true in USA. But here, in Poland, you don't need to have formal education - it will be enough if salon where you want to work has permission from Sanitary Inspectorate.

And that's why I'm learning on my own. I am planning to finish my portfolio and look for an apprenticeship, but if I won't find any that's not a big deal - most tattoo artists here are self-taught.

As for money?
Yeah, you heard correctly, and that's one of the reason why I'm learning it.
A shit tier artist that learned how to tattoo in prison charges 150zł (around 40 USD) for a simple text that he can do in 2 hours. For comparison: in 2 hours in McDonald I would earn 20zł (minimal wage is around 10zł/hour). An average tattoo artist earns around 1800 USD / month.

In other words: this job is as profitable as drawing furry porn, but without drawing furry porn. It's the best art-related job a beginner artist can get.

You could also try taking a look at some drawing models like body kun, You don't need to buy them, just observe how the model is structured

It would be fun if we also competed in how much time we spend on our drawings. Admin could add another form asking that and make some kind of ranking for it.

Seeing that others are putting in 4+ hours daily would be more motivating than seeing that they simply uploaded something.

I feel like this is missing the point a bit.
The only prerequisite to this site is that you draw every day for 30 minutes, minimum, and that's fine. The new site even permits you to draw every week if you're that unmotivated.
This opens the gate to everyone, at any level of time commitment:

> People who just want to draw just for the hell of it, and don't want anything more than that, getting better at their own pace
> People who want to deliberately get better at a hobby that they enjoy
> People who want to cultivate a professional skill, while using this is a motivator to balance it with their current work/schooling
> Active artists who want to take their work to the next level

Even right now, the "streaks" are pretty much meaningless, since everyone started in such a scattered manner with LAS dying suddenly, and that's fine. What matters is why drawing every day personally matters to YOU. This website just gives you a motivating framework, and the only active, non-shit art community I could find, and you should make the most out of both, for whatever goal you have in mind, not worry over arbitrary achievements on a website.

I'm still in favor of having Challenges / Topics, though, because it helps people expand creatively and fosters goal-oriented feedback and discussion. Like the comics challenge.
