Leg proportions are off, and the way she's squatting is slightly unnatural, her legs should be bent forward more. The ellipse being drawn also doesn't really match the perspective

It's traditional crosshatching, there's no screens in that technique/look.

Prof: What sort of equipment do you favor?

BW: I like inking with a brush. I very seldom use a pen.

Bernie was old school, he was a contemporary of Frazetta.

i don't think that should be surprising, inking with a brush isn't like a special secret style or anything, although i'm like 72% sure at least some of that is done with a pen, because there are square starts or whatever the inking term is for the start of a line

Could be, but when the artist himself says he rarely uses pens, I generally believe the artist. Plus, look at his brushes in the picture - instead of using 000's, he looks like he's using a cut down brush, and it might have a chisel shape, so that would explain the starts.
It definitely explains the expressive quality of his linework, tho - that's all about brush.
There aren't many pictures of him working, usually it's with a pencil, so it's hard to say. It's not a huge issue, I was just surprised he did so much with a brush.
