I'm tired of the talent meme.

Listen pieces of shit, I started to draw for fun when I was 15, and did it as a hobby until some weeks ago when I decided to pursuit seriously.

Left is 2006, Right is today.
Both are 100% from imagination and 0 reference.

I'm 100% sure if you study and grind your fundamentals you can get this level in 4 years or less, I'm sure you can do it in one year.

Even if I was able to improve simply by drawing from imagination, once every few days whenever I felt like drawing, and I focused on drawing waifus because that's what I found fun, all during almost a decade of slow progress.

If I was able to improve to a level where I think I'm ok with myself (not really, I want to grind realism now), YOU can do it, in much less time than me.

Fuck your lazy excuses about no talent and simply WORK HARD.

Fuck off.

the people who you think are good at drawing have been practicing their whole life, why do you think 2 years is enough time for you to reach their level?

Compare your drawings with the drawings you were doing 2 years ago, if they are better, It's Working. If you havent noticed any improvement its because you either are practicing wrong or arent practicing hard enough.

Closing thoughts; Don't give up lil bitch.

Because of human history.
Whiners wallow in dramatic, self-pity and progress at a significantly slower rate. People who are self-aware about how much they suck but maintain a positive attitude, wake up the next day and practice for hours instead of spending hours shitting up boards on 4chan.

See, if you were even half-serious about becoming good you would delete this thread and go back to drawing for the next 3 months.
But i bet this thread will still be here tomorrow night.

1+ of these:
- you're not really engaged
- you don't work as hard as you claim
- you're not thinking on your own
- you're not experimenting/exploring
- you need more time

The #1 thing that will drive your skill growth is working on challenging projects (where your inner autist kicks into gear and you start to care and get obsessed). You will naturally be driven to learn the fundamentals as you do that, and succeed given you use your fucking head and research+study+experiment. You don't need to construct 1000 soulless loomis heads before you can draw your first hentai monster fucking your waifu.

Explore. Venture into uncharted lands.
