Actually, it's not. I got shadowbanned from Reddit for posting too much of my own work on art subreddits. Apparently, there's some rule that you need to have a certain percentage of non-self promotional submissions, otherwise you're not "contributing" to the community if you only post your own work.

Now I share my friend's art once in awhile on top of my own.

The image looks out of focus. I'm assuming you just took a picture of your paper. If that's the best quality you can get out of your camera, then get a new camera. But, it's probably not the camera's fault. If you're not using a tripod, then use something to stabilize your camera. The drawing looks interesting to me, but the image quality is ruining it.

I wish I could have an agent or something that curates my online portfolio. I just draw whatever I want, but as a result my online gallery is kind of a wreck with doodles mixed in with sketches mixed in with more completed works.
The problem is that to me, it all has some value, otherwise I wouldn't upload it.

The line work is so monotonous and the detail is so contrived. The "action" in this specific drawing looks stale and the drawing style is generic. That punch and the reaction are weak. You could have something there but you need to work on a lot of things.

All that time you spend on making those little lines in what looks like is supposed to smoke and explosions should be allocated into developing a more expressive and stylized and distinguished style, especially if you want to make it as a comic book artist. First, you have to change the weight of the line work. Everything is one line that it renders the piece lifeless.

Also, use more black. Black is important, as it will create a more dramatic feeling in the overall piece.

As for the action sequence, you just need to watch some fighting scenes in movies or watch some boxing to capture that moment when a boxer punches his opponent in the chin.

You have to really draw it like she got fucked up by that robot, and that robot has to look like he is really fucking her jaw bone up.

Man, you have to make the viewer feel that hit.

Actually, the best way, and I am serious about this, is to get into a fist fight. You have to be able to speak, so to speak, from experience. Or at least, it would be better that way. I know how to chin check someone, and I know how to take a hit, so I know how to draw both.

Really diggin this stuff - wishing you all the best on Instagram.

However, I can't help feel that a lot of your work suffers just little bit by what seems like a lack of sharper tools. A lot of these pieces are super cool and they have a lot great details and textures, but I think they're being bogged down by the grainy-ness and smudges that are hard to avoid from doing high-detail work with these traditional mediums. The grainy texture is the most distracting thing to me.

I'm assuming you draw these traditionally then color them digitally. I think you need to either:
1. Go digital and have access to tools that will give you far greater control over your mark making. IMO - this seems like the next step for you, and I think you'd really shine in this realm.
2. Make sure your traditional tools (charcoal sticks, pencils, etc.) remain sharper while working and to be much more mindful that your're not mushing up your drawings.

Just my thoughts - sorry for the completely uncalled for critique. Keep up the good work!

There are still loads of artists that still work traditionally and finish up digitally. Your work reminded me of Ken Taylor (pic related), in that you both have a lot of high-detail work using simple colors and lot of movement, often juxtaposed next to large, flat empty shapes. He also has a similar method to you (work traditionally and finish digitally), with the main difference being that he mostly uses pens while you use charcoal + graphite. I think incorporating some pens into your work can help give it some of the nice clean sharp edges that might benefit your detail work.

Definitely worth checking that guy out for inspiration!

It's my youtube. The videos are pretty old and were made on my brother's PC (while he wasn't using it) between homeworks for art school (and work too) while on serious time constraints and learning how to use programs for recording in such. That's why they're a mess.

I think Pixiv is worse if we're being honest. Half the accounts are lewd/porn and probably a third of them post toddlercon. Which takes you by surprise sometimes because you'll be looking through a gallery thinking it's all neat stylistic cute stuff, but then boom, there's a toddler getting penetrated.

I don't know ow anything about pixiv but you basically will not gain any followers on devianart unless you're already big or you're using a bunch of different marketing techniques. Plus the app sucks and most people are on mobile now.

Instagram and Twitter have some decent algorithms to expose you as long as you post decent stuff once again in a while. Also a random retweet by someone big can make you gain a huge following.
