Why the fuck is shit like this getting attention? I hate it when people who obviously have no idea of good concept art/illustration make articles like this. Just write "future warfare concept" on google and you get a million images that are better done than this hacks "remarkable images".

I don't even know why this shit is making me so angry. I just hate when subpar/mediocre crap gets attention when there's so much good stuff out there.

oh and of COURSE they had to make it some liberal shill bullshit. nope, can't just have nice drawings of pretty war machines, everything has to be politicized nowadays

i at least hope for my sake that these machines end up becoming a reality and wiping out all of the middle east so i don't have to hear about it anymore.

Yeah dude. I'd say I'm pretty liberal myself but this shit still doesn't make sense to me. It's like saying that MGS games are a SAD AND REALISTIC DEPICTION OF THE FUTURE when it's just about bad ass robots and cool guns. At least most of the stuff in those games are pretty well designed unlike the shit in this article. Can't we just have cool robots without making it into a political thing?

I love a lot of the more surreal and cyberpunk concepts. The streetscenes are great. So is the palette, I like seeing touches of orange and grey. It looks like the artist could develop a very interesting manga based in Jerusalem. It might even become an interesting film.

The only lack of appeal for me are the infantry gear, which make them look like larvae surrounded by insectoid machines. Other mech artists usually tend to borrow from several different mammals like apes for example. Another thing is that we see these mechs patrolling Arab pedestrians, but we don't see them encircling mosques.

*is the infantry gear

It would be good to see him pull back in order to paint more crowd scenes. There's got to be some interesting architecture in his country which can be worked up conceptually. I'd like to see more fashion in the art since that should compliment the designs. Yet this is some of the most interesting cyberpunk I've seen since the GITS TV show.

I'm really not jelly. It's just that this shit is extremely uninspired and badly executed. They could have taken any artist and they take this guy.

No interesting silhouettes. The materials are crap. Anatomy is crap. Nothing looks functional. Compositions and scale don't work. Shit like that.

If you think this stuff is great I'll just assume you're pretty new to digital art. What ever.

Imagine what it will be like when instead of browsing Internet forums, you'll be browsing real-world environments with the aid of these little piggies.

Imagine being able to scale a building with just a regular tablet. Think of the hold-ups machines will be capable of in real-world environments.

What can technology possibly not accomplish? That will be amazing, to be able to experience the physical world as if we really were there.

That's cliched... The point is that we'll no longer feel the limitations of a body... It will be like life, like the Internet, but people will also wield these machines with the prospensities peculiar to games.

Imagine being assassinated by a 12" Chinese robot on a bike. It kind of puts Islamic terror in the shade, doesn't it?

Humans will wear stuff making them half invisible and have Robots to wear the heavy stuff. They won't be hacking robots right in front of them while his friends try to put it down with a rope.

Speaking of exploring robots, they will look like a worm with two chainsaws (one at each end) for moving. Prototypes already show that they can go almost everywhere, climb cars, etc. whereas feet are full of inconvenience.

The idea that 2048 will look like a grim version of what we have today is optimistic. Future wars will look like Screamers.
