Hello dear users of 4chan. I want to know if you guys and girls think my art would fit in a comic convention artist alley. I have been thinking hard about participating in one but am not sure if my style fits with comic conventions. Please tell me your honest opinions and don't hold anything back I don't mind tough criticism hit me hard

Ask yourself, you had money to drop at an convention and you stumbled on this would you actually buy it? I sure as hell wouldn't.

Well it depends if I could fined a similar style like this if I could I would compare the two and which ever one I felt a stronger connection to I would buy it. And yeah I should have smoothed out the surface more with water after it dried so your totally right on that. Here is another image of my work I did

Just do it.

Comic conventions are full of "artists" and I use the term loosely who just copy other people manga and characters.

Fuck the wannabe artists at comic cons.

I wish they all got sued.

I honestly don't think you'll sell anything, it's like you tried drawing things you aren't quite ready for. Here are some tips:

Simplify your art (a great simple piece is better than a mediocre complex one. If you want to make money, know your limits).

Make smaller pieces (it's cheaper, people are way more likely to but something that is cheap and can be easily carried in a bag. Especially if it's amateur stuff).

Put them in a nice frame, have some crisp packaging, and put a business card or a flyer in there (presentation is very important, maybe THE most important thing. Make things look neat and professional so people don't feel ripped off).

looks like you spent quick time sketching the people and things
it's not bad
but i'd recommend look at more reference and practice using other mediums

You won't even offset the cost of gas to drive to the convention

No, do not waste your time or money.
I've only ever been to one and hardly broke even while I watched people around me lose money.
People do not want to buy original art and they are now becoming apprehensive about buying art at all unless its printed on a button or is something original or funny.
Pic related, my best seller, I have never even watched any Star Trek. I had original work and very popular characters. No one bought original and many did not give a shit about some characters. Sold about 5-15 of these in various sizes, but by the end of the three days I only made 150 bucks, which is what it cost me to be there.

Some may through you a pitty sell, hell you may even make a few sales if you're really charasmatic but I'm really sick of seeing people clog up artist alley with subpar work, me included.

This is why anime art sucks.

Great imagination, not very much polish. Clean up your lines, spend much more time on refining features and rendering the forms.
