Yes, a young man named Mark gains psychic powers, but after a series of events, decides he uses for his own will, I have the idea that one part of the world begins to manifest these powers, but not everyone knows how to use or how to do , A shit similar to xmen, but with a more dense and real (as far as where the story allows)

A part of the story focused on mark, another part focused on a workforce with senior military people who are trained to capture or fight others who have powers (these have their own powers), I accept ideas for powers

The main doubts I have is in the format, I'm thinking of something American hq or something more manga, it's also some tips to avoid that the course of the story does not get too cliche

There's s British show called misfits. It's a story about how a storm passes over and everyone who gets struck gets a unique power associated to there personality. Might be good for some power ideas.

IMO that's due to lack of supply, not lack of interest
I know of no great webcomics and few decent ones, but the decent and dogshit ones all have successful patreons

First I want to try to make the motivation of the character viable, the end I have in mind is he loses all control of his powers and killing everyone around him, destroying much of the city is the squad that I mentioned, I do not consider A fair redemption for him as it would get a very down finish

My advice is to start even if you're still beg, but sunny forget to put some time into practice still. Better to be doing than not doing.

>> No.2976365

>>2976351
that's due to facebook and social networking taking over blogging and personal pages/independent communities

all succesful webcomics you see now are muh feelings sjw bullshit and edgy dumb meme inspired slapstick humor because of that. People don't try to stand out anymore, they stick to appealing to various niches

Hahah, the concepts I've talked about are very used, I believe until it has something very similar to the world that I intend to build, so I want to take the main character to the evil side, to be able to have a different prominence and to have A different mechanic with the secondary characters

>I want to do only as a hobby
If you are 100% sure you can go on churning out comic pages indefinitely with absolutely no response or reaction from the public, you should just get started and put whatever you want in there.

>>2976223
>The main doubts I have is in the format
Have a simple style that doesn't take you too long to get done. Trust me that you'll have plenty of struggle with panel composition and getting the story to make sense, having a cumbersome art style full of detail is going to drain you completely.

Also make it a short story 'cause sprawling epics will inevitably lead to burnout. You should have a story set up that goes from point A to point B.

How do you go about posting it tho? I'm assuming if you make your own site it'll be very difficult to get any viewers. Do you just post it to tumblr or one of those sites that hosts multiple webcomics? And how do you even get people to give you a chance and read your shit?

>> No.2983504

>>2983008
your own site for it would be ideal. I'd avise agaisnt squarespace, none of their templates are any good for comics. You'll have to find a host and some kind of free site template code. If not just put that shit up on tumblr and #hashtag the shit out of it #originalcomic #comic #webcomic #themeofyourcomic #yourcomicname when you have enough fans make your own site. once you have enough chapters or whatever spam it on /co/'s webcomic thread and other places, instagram, twitter, shit like that. It's annoying and embarrassing if it's bad.

you could try looking into some and seeing how they do, stuff like gunnerkrigg court, kill six billion demons, unsounded, ava's demon, or even paranatural (even though that feels like it lost its way) are all fairly successful story/character driven webcomics, tho i think the most succesful on there is gunnerkrigg court, which makes like 5k-something dollars on patreon every month, as opposed to jeph jacques bullshit comic questionable content, which made 10k a month before he switched it to private

Don't do it. You'll be inconsistently uploading pages because you either too busy or too lazy to post any content and then you'll hate yourself for not having the discipline to buckle down and draw for an hour and each page you draw will take more and more time even though you initially finished 7 pages in a day and now it takes you a month to do one. Don't be that guy!!!! Like me, pic related

>> No.2985351

It's a waste of time you have more chance trying to make a comic than a webcomic.
