Something similar kinda happened to me.
>get assigned 1 point perspective thing for high school art class
>I do it but it looks like shit
>"cool" girl next to me asks to look at it
>starts complimenting me
>"cool" kid from the other side of the room starts asking her about the drawing she's holding
>she passes it to him
>he shows the entire room
>they all think it's hers and start complimenting her telling her how amazing it is
>basically just sucking her dick
>she corrects them and lets them know that I drew it
>dude just hands it back to me and everyone instantly changes the subject
>didn't get a single compliment on it from all those people who supposedly loved it
I feel like you're more likely to get approached/complimented on your art if the person likes you or wants to start a conversation with you. They probably wouldn't talk to some random dude they had nothing to gain from.
