Few places where the words crunch together, making it hard to read. May be worthwhile to push hatman's expression a bit further towards sardonic in panel 2.

Writing overall could use a bump in quality. I get the joke, but the delivery falls flat. Then again, who the fuck am I? No one, that's who.

op, your art would be good if it was 2005 and we were all on deviantart. and if we were all on the part of deviantart that didn't give a shit about art.

your color palette fucking sucks, with super saturated colors being plopped around at random, and a Tom-Preston-level-of-lazy background.

There's zero fucking thought put into the lineweight, your handwriting is crammed into the sloppily drawn bubbles, there's zero fucking effort put into any of the character's bodies. they are literally all just floating busts.

your style is legitimately disgusting, with mid-2000's bulging eyes, and half-assed designs that are typical for shitty gag webcomics.

If you want to make funny or political strips, you don't need to be great at drawing. Look at dilbert, it's absolutely lazy drawing. If comic strips that are funny look good it's just a bonus. >yeah, im going to start doing much longer ones now.

Longer doesn't necessarily make them better. Most webcomics are very short and can get a good joke across in just 3 to 4 panels. Most people have a short attention span and prefer short stuff.

South park would be another example I can think of with shitty art, highly offensive, racist, sexist but people love that show.

>>2878751
>i like early 2000s animation, they dont, so it doesnt matter how much i improve chances are theyre going hate it.

They still had much better proportions, perspective and linework. They didn't draw legs that looked as if you see them from the side when drawing a front view of the character, for example. Which you did multiple times! Take a look at anatomy and figure out what legs are supposed to look like on a front view.

I can assure that the people doing 2000s animation learned anatomy and proper drawing, even if they make the end result look as if a toddler could draw it. Making things look easy requires skill. Animation requires lot's of skill.

>> No.2878789

>>2878777
but it depends on who or what. personally i need more to work with than a few panels and finding room for context makes things harder maybe i just need practice but as it stands i cant work with the format. south park, as you mentioned, would not work in 3 or 4 panels. they have an established universe, and a long written story for each episode that they add all the jokes into after. its writting style is way too reliant on context to pull off a joke with a few panels. i never argued that i dont need to work on my art, there are obvious improvements needed, what im saying is they wouldnt like my style regardless of skill. i could improve all those things you mentioned, but they still wouldnt like it. i have a specific taste when it comes to visuals and im not gonna change it because some 4chan users hate an era of cartoons.

>> No.2878792

yes, south park is much closer to my taste. but i had grown somewhat of an audience on mytwitter, not many people, but twitters full of soft people and most of what i had posted had been soft shit. i kinda made the comic on the spot to establish things because i didnt want people to be shocked down the road if i did a risky joke completely out of nowhere.

>> No.2878796

also i will start drawing things much bigger now. these comics were on paper originally, and drawn in very cramped spaces. i always thought comics should have small panels because the details will get lost when the panel is shrunken but that just may be making things worse.

>> No.2878799

>>2878171
Your jokes are shit and your art is shit.

Looking at your work, it's clear you didn't bother learning any of the fundamentals, of which include proper line control, perspective, and rendering. Further, you lack knowledge in any basic anatomy. You stylized before you even had the vaguest idea of how the body looks, flows, and how it can be postured, which is why all your characters look so stiff, inconsistant, and unnatural. Stop winging anatomy.
The style you have isn't even appealing, it's just a rehash of that god-awful Invader Zim/Newgrounds-influenced style that was everywhere in 2004. Your jokes aren't funny, they aren't structured, they're sloppy, and really do fit in with the cringey SomethingAwful comic style you're going with.

My recommendation is to stop making these shitty comics, read the sticky, and begin working on your fundamentals. We have a beginner thread for a reason.
