I use a medium one by wacom.

It gets the job done, yeah. Size isn't really an issue when you can zoom your canvas in/out to fit your stroke needs.
As much as I'd like a bigger one, I'm not gonna upgrade until I can net a steady art job. Even with Wacom's new financing options, I'd rather not put down that much cash on an upgrade yet.

Any decent brand kolinsky sable should do. With brushes, you get what you paid for.

I am using Rosemary and Co brush, they are my favorite. But they ship from UK and there is no free shipping for international orders. So you want to purchase a few to make it worth your order and buy different size brushes depending on what you want to paint. They make good brushes, but haven't bought anything new in a few years. The reviews are still good, so I imagine they are still good brushes. I am using their series 22 round kolinsky sables.

If you want to use your brushes outdoors, it might be better to get reversible/pocket brushes since you can cap the brush which also acts as a removable handle:

Well, that depends on what you want. Pen performance on this one is pretty good, feels very similar to the intuos pro I had before (screen is glossy but I don't find it slippery at all, pen's very confortable). I've had the ugee for 4 months already and no driver issues so far. The monitor itself on the other hand is meh, not real HD and not IPS. I personally don't care because it doesn't matter for what I do (mostly B&W and flat color cartoony stuff) but if you're gonna do something like digital painting, maybe try something like the ugee 1560 or 2150. Never tried a huion so I don't know how it compares.
