How can one listen to this and not fall asleep.
I recommend listening to some black metal for a short time to irritate your brain cells and the satan itself will guide your hand.

I'll have to give it a listen later. I just got into vaporwave a few months ago, so I'm still discovering all of the "old" stuff. I really like the muzak-y 80's mall stuff too.

Oh, welcome to the genre then! You're a winner!
情報デスクVIRTUAL - 札幌コンテンポラリー is one of Vektroid's more muzak-y albums. Highly recommended. It has a really motivating track at the end called "3D崖の端 ∕ 'Beyond' The Limit" (1:09:10) that could play during a Rocky-esque montage of a sweaty d/ic/khead training their fundamentals.

I like music but I don't like listening to music while working. Time is your enemy and the beats of the music acknowledge that time is passing. Cheat time by not listening to music.

those 3 and 5 hour long video game music videos are really good for it so you dont have to worry about finding tracks, also bach is good you can usually find really long bach playlists. i like the harpsichord stuff and organ stuff. or just video game ost i usually listen to silent hill 4 or the shinobi 3 ost a few other things. avgn ,trailer park boys, or its always sunny are things i can watch without having to look at them.

I need at least 2 things running at a time

>one movie and some classical music in the background
>one anime and some streams in the background

I change the volume depending on which one I like more at the moment, and if I get bored with drawing, there might be something in those 2 to inspire me

Some people say that Bach have actual effects on the creative side of your brain. At least several people irl told me so.

they say that about mozart as well. maybe it has to do with hearing contrapunction or counterpoint or something. i always have been able to hear counterpoints to music in my head (i use to play lots of instruments stil do some what) so maybe it activates that side more because i subconsciously do that already. i do it has some effect t when i listen to that type of thing.

Usually I listen to music, mainly jazz and some electronica or youtube vids about semi-interesting topics, like movie reviews etc.

>> No.2746727

I usually listen to symposiums/lectures if I'm sketching so I'm doing maybe a bit more listening than focusing on the art.

If I'm sitting down really trying to git good I'll listen to a funny podcast or have some let's play on in the background-- mindless banter that I can tune in and out of.

As far as music I'm usually listening to something ambient/experimental/drone.

Do you have a specific recommendation for lava bubbling? Never thought of listening to that before.
