You need stronger shadows to separate the forms, especially the ones that are supposed to be the focal point. The arm and leg sort of blend together here, when logically it should be more clear that one form is closer to the viewer.

All things in time. I do studies on specific body parts/anatomy, form, gesture, etc, on the side, aswell as going through bridgeman, loomis, and some other things. It's not worth posting however and if I'm to receive critique on such studies I wouldn't post them in the porn thread.

Care to redline? I'de appreciate it. Muscle and attachment/stretch is a good bit more what I'm tackling. Looking at the image again I noticed I messed up the fore arm/hand connection a good bit so it doesn't read well on the actual setup of the hand. More specifically that unfortunate tangent between the line of his forearm and his butt, so the thumbs just missing in a way. The other hand/arm is a mess I rather not immediately delve into, I'de rather focus on the one in perspective. There's more issues I probably can't immediately pick up, but like I said I would heavily appreciate a redline on atleast the arm.

I wanted to make the image overall brighter/more tamed value range. Are you speaking of his right arm(mainly forearm) and the leg? Would it be better if there were brighter values going more against the top of it so it's close to the light source/farther away from the viewer? I don't want to use much stronger shadows than say those I have on the butt/left leg.

The composition/focus is good, but I think the dick needs to draw the eye more, contours in the area are too light maybe.

Hand anatomy is off, the fingers and the palm are about the same length, and the hand should be wider than the wrist

Foot looks huge which might be intentional, but the foot faces inwards while the leg seems to face outwards

Very nice. A little stiffness here and there, throwing some loose gesture drawings into your practice hour could help with that but it's the kind of thing that would probably refine over time. Looking at loose things with a strong sense of movement to them can help as well. Overall good stuff.

Oh shit, the shading on the torso made me overlook the actual shape of that rib cage.
It's way too big and way too defined. Bring it out further to the left and tuck it in more on the right side.
Also erase some of the lines, replace them with shadows or something.
There's also some other anatomy problems, look up a reference and work from that.
The couch looks decent.

Yes. Sketches are great, and definitely can further your understanding, and can still be incredibly appealing, but if you're genuinely shooting to improve you should always try to pass that phase if you feel confident in your sketch. You're missing crucial steps in completing an illustration by just doing sketches, and if you want to make money people are generally not going to fork out that much for a sketch.

Your way of rendering and sharpness is very good. I don't know if you're using a very strict ref but the anatomy and musculature is nice. I would say the only issues I see else than shiny balls is the tail looks a little flat with the straight line heading through the arm and value on the end tip, and I'm not really conceiving the perspective of the right arm, I mean I can tell what it's trying to do but the shoulder/back musculature doesn't seem entirely accurate to its upward/outward position. Same with the right leg, I think there would be more implications in the muscle with that bend, but it's also a bit weird (looks like it's going heavily to the right which I'm unsure is possible else than a laying down position). If hands and faces are your issue then you really don't have much problem. People will eat your stuff up, you're skilled. I would say Jack Hamm's How to Draw Animals and just study some artist you like for faces/construction would be good. Million resources for hands. Can't wait to see you posting somewhere else than /ic/.

I like this a lot, especially how you did the fur texture. A couple of things I notice at a glance are
-his torso seems a bit short and I'm not sure there's enough separation between it and the pelvic area.
-The nipple placement's a bit off. The one in shadow I'd move a tad more in the direction of center chest, the other I'd move a tad closer to the arm and lower. There's some problems with how the deltoid and upper arm muscles are wrapped as well, they should be more profile view. Overall still very appealing.

The face is horrifying. When I opened up the thumbnail I was shocked by the face. Her eyes are way to huge, even if you were going for stylization. Her chest looks wrong, and you got a lot of midtones going on. Fix her face first.

What kind of pubes are we talking? Landing strip, stubble, full on rats nest? The ethnicity of the character you're drawing is important as well. Asians have pubes that basically stand straight out. Blacks basically have the same type of hair for pubes as they do for their head hair. Whites usually have something in between those two.

I only use refs as a way to get inspiration. I open a folder and just browse till I hit a pose or a scene that clicks with me, I might keep the pic open for the first phase of the construction but I usually try to move on as fast as I can.
