Something like that.
Even if you don't use the rules of said book, is kind of fascinating seeing someone aplying these rules in drawing.
Give it a look, at least of curiosity

Looks like they are 2d reference copies with no understanding of form, why is this impressive, someone of any age would be able to do that especially after years.

Angled Based Construction

It's a new name for an old technique. Simplify the subject using straight lines. Look for alignments, coincidences, the relative location of parts to one another, etc.. You're basically breaking down the subject into lines and shapes and then using that to further complete drawing.

It's been called: "the constellation method", "the clock method", "the sighting method" or simply "the angle method". Some artist call it the "breakdown" or the "shape-design" phase in their drawing process. It's been used in a lot of schools throughout history. The Bargue/Gerome drawing course is an abc method. The Sight-Size is an abc method. Using a grid to draw is essentially an abc method.

It's simple to understand, difficult to execute well enough.

It sounds kind of a slow technique. Is it beneficial in the long run?

Hey, that's Edward from twilight, and I think see Taylor Swift.

None of these were done from imagination, and because of that it's useless. Might as well be using a grid.

I'd argue kids are better at learning, provided they're interested in it.

Rembrandt started at 12 and opened a studio at 18.
