thats not true, i see a few traditional artists that are ok, not chunbum or whatever.

its just usually those threads linger on the 7th page for weeks before dying and then it takes even longer for more traditionalists to come around, but they are here.

also, i think its easier to take put pics online if you use a tablet. alot of tablet users still practice with traditional media!

Paint application is much more versatile with a smoother surface. The only draw back is that scumbling is easier with a canvas, although it's still possible with wood panels and the like.

Also if you make a mistake and want to wipe off, there will be paint in the deeper parts.

If you're painting with acrylic it doesn't matter because it's going to be worthless anyway.
