I kinda stopped worring/caring about people like this, even if they get fame on facebook or whatev. because It doesnt matter what amateurs think or believe.
A person like this is no competition on fields like entertaiment-, production-,illustrative-, industrial/transportation- desing.
In these fields you only get hired if your stuff is "created" and "constructed" (from imagination obviously) on a high level.

He might have a chance to get in a gallery (gallerys are dominated by amateurs) but in a gallery enviroment he will starve.

People are just bad at judging things they don't have experience in. Can you really tell the difference between a professional musician and the best musician in the world? Maybe a bit if you focus, but they both sound pretty good. To a musician though the difference would be so enormous it is hard to put into words. If you have played an instrument before then pick another art form since it's the same thing in other disciplines.
