the table with all the pencil's and the duck is where i draw at, the 2 keyboards on top of the other goes to the computer to go to an organ synth (notice large keys on the floor under it) and yes its another keyboard 88 weighted key digital piano to be more specific (because sometimes 2 4 octave keyboards isnt enough room)
also the shit (and it is) on the wall is the first paintings i attempted a reminder that im getting better than that. i was confused about the hotsauce thing and then i noticed the crushed red pepper container. and i didnt even notice the can....u.u i mostly face the other direction and never sit over there . and i like the lights, and dont celebrate christmas. rarely use them though. too dark

Man, I am still in a crappy situation with tablets. I was too eager and got the intuos art medium and even though it is blowing my mind(coming straight from a Graphire 4) I still wonder about the other tablets. I dunno. Gonna stick with it for now, like you said. Gets the job done.

Got a new setup last year and I am loving it.

The desk is made by a company that has a bit of a reputation for bad manufacturing, but it was 50% off and I couldn't pass up the opportunity. The drafting surface folds down into a flat desk so it's great for work and gaming.

The pic is old and doesn't show the nice back support office chair I got, but you get the idea. It's so much better than my old setup, sitting on a sofa with the laptop on a chair in front of it and the tablet on my lap. My old setup gave me bad problems, elbow in particular, with back issues thrown in. I'm glad I spent the money on this setup, I can actually work without pain now.

The one that I got was the Safco Split-Level Adjustable Drafting Table. I needed the right side for my laptop and I wanted the top part for my speakers and second monitor.

Again, the company has a bit of a reputation for there being manufacturing defects, and being unhelpful if you receive a table with the defect. However, with the priced reduced down from $400 to $200, I figured it was worth a shot. I haven't regretted it.

What is your personal artistic situation? What is your medium? Do you need space for a laptop? Do you need that back section? What is your price range?

Figure out your work station needs and then you can figure out how to make it happen. For example, if you have a desktop and don't plan on ever using laptops, and your workstation is next to a wall, you can get a regular table and have the computer tower next to it and mount a shelf for the monitor.

what you have seems perfect for my needs. I have a tower, but it's a small itx tower so it'd fit nicely on the fixed platform, with the monitor on the hutch. The adjustable portion would be for pen and paper, or putting my MS tablet on/laying it flat for regular computer use. I'm gonna start looking into drafting tables again, as I thought they were only meant for standing height and one surface.

I'm not gonna lie, it was a pain in the ass to find a drafting table that accommodated a computer. Most drafting tables are single surfaces. I was scouring the internet and was even considering getting a custom one.

There was one other thing I found that was a glassw corner desk with one side being drafting surface and the other being flat, but that took up way too much space in my tiny house.

well if you want, take a pic of the part itself. I was just planning on making some notches in a couple rails for the 'leg' of the stand to rest in to adjust the angles. Other than that, I could go the rod with a section drilled out at the end and a bolt with a knob on both ends to manually tighten to down once in position, but that's a little questionable.
