How long should it feasibly take to make a portfolio for a place like Sheridan?

I feel like two months is more than enough, but others seem to be saying otherwise.

maybe you should just work on your portfolio instead of posting on /ic/

Depends on your skill level more than the time you put in. I just grabbed a ton of work I had already done and then the drawing test I did in a couple days before the deadline. Ended up getting in with a decent score, though I later decided to drop out. This was for their illustration program, not animation though.

If your work is weak they just send you to art fundies btw, it's not a big deal.

Yeah, I really like that approach. You can still try your hardest, but if you're truly weak in fundamentals, they put you in a course made specifically to grind it out and put you at a better level than you were. I still want to make it into animation of course, but it eases the tension a tad.
