Hey, I haven't been here for years. My drawing has been on hold since married and kids. I recently started watching Mark Crilley videos on YouTube. They're really getting me motivated to start drawing again. Has he ever been on this board?

The instant I saw your pic Mark came into my mind. As for your drawing even though I can't critic it properly I will say that it doesn't have that nice satisfying feel on the eye when you see a good drawing.

No question, I suck. I'm just curious if Mark ever has been to /ic/. Does anyone know?

Hahaha no. He knows his ass will be handed to him the minute he posts a thread on here. He will stay in his protective bubble on youtube.

Don't listen to those salty faggots they're clearly jealous of his superior anime skills.

His work just doesn't have that "flow", you know? He's bretty gud at realism, but his stylized work is so soul-less. He's a nice, gentle guy though. Plus, he gives motivation and some pretty alright tips to absolute beginners.

The only thing he is good at is being a human photocopier, and anyone can do that.

Hair body is too square looking, her books looks like the wrinkles on a shirt, and her arms are too thin.

I'm trying to get back at drawing, too.

Not OP, but I've stopped drawing some years ago too. I studied intensely for one or two weeks, and I liked it, but I hadn't enough time to keep drawing. Should I try again?

Pic related.

I really need to start totally from scratch. With work, wife and kids, there's just no time. It's sad when one has the motivation but not the time.

Yes. Everyone should try to get better at drawing.

As long as you're not autistic, you'll get better if you lurk here.

People on here will call almost anything shit. For /ic/, everything is either shit or "god-tier".

If you follow crilley its fine, but dont pick up his habits too. >>2308490
In pic you're trying to make something look perfect, but it ends up looking almost robotic. The lines are so straight forward with no deviation= boring
Its too early to make stuff thats perfect.
My advice would be to make something messy, make sketches or anything really.
Its better to have substance than style.
